What's New?
Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda is a non-profit association which prepares students for careers in business and business-related fields. Founded in 1937 by Dr. Hamden L. Forkner of Columbia University, FBLA has continually provided students with the interpersonal skills necessary to succeed in the business world. FBLA encourages leadership, enterprise, scholarship, financial management, and sound character among other traits. Members participate in a wide variety of community service, recognition, and career-exploration programs in order to achieve these attributes.
Since its beginning in 1966, the Chopticon High School chapter of FBLA has sought to epitomize the goals established by the national organization. Chopticon FBLA is known for its tremendous accomplishments within the school and community. Members have been recognized at the regional, state, and national levels. Chopticon FBLA is the reigning Maryland FBLA Conference Champion, indicating our superior performance in the FBLA competitive events program. Chopticon members, with their dedication and enthusiasm, will continue to carry on our rich heritage.
